Work, Terminators, and Critter
OK, my job has sucked so far. I knew this ahead of time but the reality of it didn’t sink in until my first sixteen hour shift on Tue/Wed: if my people don’t get the trucks turned, I have to turn them myself. It was bad, really bad.
Summer Glau is just smoking’ hot. I’m watching the latest Sara Connor Chronicles on the TiVo, by the way.
I spent some time with Critter earlier. I called her and told her I was in town and had something special for her. She was like ”um, what is it?” not sure if she should be worried I was going off the deep end or not. I strung her along for a minute or two, then I told her it was the power cord from my old printer, which coincidentally matches the missing cord from her printer. She’s moved out of the baby daddy’s house and I only had a vague idea where her new place was so she met me at a convenience store that was on the way (she was in town too, but on the other side) and we drove out to her place together. It’s a little small, but I like it. It’s also down the same highway I live off of so she’s in the right school district now, which will mean more sleep and less gas once she gets the kids used to riding the bus. I helped with a few small things, she put the kids in bed and we just hung out and talked. We talked some about her most recent ex, and then she had to get to sleep and I had to get home and put my groceries up.
I really need to get my Treo replaced. It’s driving me nuts not having it. I should get the deposit back from my old apartment by the end of the month, that might be enough to get me one, but I’m not sure.
