Anyone remember that Star Trek episode where they went to an alternate universe and everyone was evil and Spock had a beard?

Yeah, I think I’m living there now.

So much has gotten screwed up in the past week or so. Things that I never thought would happen have happened and it’s not a good thing.

Things are still good with me, but my friends’ lives are going off in directions I would never have imagined.

UPDATE:

Just got a call from my new landlord. I thought I was about to get my keys and start moving the little stuff. Nope. It seems the former tenants definition of "moved out" did not include their freaking python. And they haven’t cleaned the place. The only good news (for me) is that unless they pay for next week’s rent they’ll get slapped with an eviction notice and lose their security deposit.
