Sorry, got inturrupted

Well, if the predictions actually come true I may not be able to make it in to work tomorrow. My apartment complex is in a hollow on the top of a hill, and while I could probably get out of the hollow, I might not be able to stop my truck at the bottom of the hill, and I really can’t afford to buy a new front wall for that grocery store down there right now.

I went to the hospital with Dirty Girl and her oldest last night. I’m not really involved with the kids yet but she called, and I assumed she wanted company so I went. It’s only five or so minutes away. Anyway, after they screwed up his diagnosis (zero for three this ER is now) she took him to his pediatrician today, and it turns out he has strep throat. Wonderful. She was sharing a bottle of Coke with him the entire time we were there, and I kissed her more than once that night; not to mention my prior exposure over the weekend.

People at work are starting to notice and ask questions, but few of them are asking DG and me. At least one person has gone to Ember asking about us, and she referred her to us. We still haven’t been approached. I think it’s a little funny, and honestly I’m just as surprised about this as everyone else is.

She’s really tired, and stuck at the pharmacy filling the kids’ prescriptions (it turns out her daughter has a mild ear infection on top of everything else) so she may be going home and putting everyone to bed. She said she’d call later if she was awake, but I told her not to worry about it, I could probably survive the thirteen or so hours until I saw her at work tomorrow.

Relationships are fun. I had forgotten how much fun they could be. Apparently we both glow now. OK. It doesn’t bother me if the whole world knows, but I doubt it’s worth a segment on “60 Minutes”. And again, we aren’t “in love” we’re just dating, but it does feel good.
