Corrections and decorations

Had lunch with Ember today, found out that Sammie is due in Michigan on Wednesday, he leaves here on Tuesday. He’s down at his grandmother’s house helping with the tree and saying good-bye and stuff.

When I was helping Amanda S. move a few days ago, I came across some small farms/large lots where people has gone all out with the Christmas lights and other decorations. I am in awe, even I wouldn’t have put as much effort into my lights as these people did. I’m talking one and a half, two, and three-acre plots filled with lights and animated characters and everything else. One family even had their storage shed decorated. Wow. If the road was wider there I’d have stopped and taken some pictures, but it’s a two-lane road with drainage ditches on either side and no shoulder to speak of, so no stopping.

I’m trying to get Ember to go do laundry with me next week so she can see my parent’s decorations. They won’t be there, so it’ll be safe from nosy questions about why we aren’t dating/engaged/married etc. My parents, mostly my dad, don’t seem to understand that you can be friends with someone of the opposite sex and not be going down that road. It has caused problems in the past.
