Decorations and buddies

Friday was a madhouse. I got there at 04:00, people had been in line since 02:00. When the announcement came it was all I could do to keep track of my own body parts, much less merchandise. To top it all off we had the late shoppers that come in at 10:00 (five hours after the sale started) demanding to know why we were out of stuff. Idiots.

And then people wouldn’t listen when I answered their questions. Everyone kept asking where the special bikes were, and I kept telling them, but they kept going to the wrong places. I’ve got two pallets of special sale bikes I now have to charge full price for because people were too stupid to find them when they were on sale.

Had some good buddy time with Ember and Sammie last night. That was fun.

I started the decorations at my parents’ place and finished the decorations at mine. Yeah, there’s a little bit of Clark Griswold in all of us. I put up the outside stuff at Ember’s place today, but I’m not sure if she was tired and happy, tired and moderately amused, or tired and annoyed. She managed to convey all three in the course of the hour or so I was over there. I really didn’t mean to wake her up, and she says I didn’t, but I do wonder about it now. Oh well, the decorations are up. She knows I’m available to help with the tree too, but I don’t know if she wants that to be an Ember/Sammie thing or what. It’s their first Christmas together after all.

A little tired now. Mostly boredom, I think. I’m going to go now.
