Sick and other crap
Feeling like crap, but life goes on. I’m having deep chest heaving coughs now, so I may need to go see my doctor before my next regular appointment, but I really don’t want to. I have so little time at home as it is I’d rather not spend forty-five minutes or more for her to tell me I’m sick: I already know that. Of course this could be a case where antibiotics actually are necessary, but I don’t like taking them either, the stronger ones give me tummy troubles. Anything stronger than Keflex and I’m in the potty most of the time. When I had pneumonia they tried to give my erythromycin, and boy was that a bad time. Once I got into the hospital they switched me to something else in an IV, and the tummy troubles stopped and I got better. I’d really rather not repeat the experience though.
We’ve been told we’re two and a half days ahead of schedule on the project, no word yet on me getting that last weekend off though. Counting this week we’ve got four weeks left and I’ve got two trips home.
I think I got this crud from one of the girls at work, she was sick with something similar last week, and now other people besides me are starting to show symptoms. Bugger.
Miss you Ember!
You have to take time out to go to the doctor, although I can undestand from what you wrote why you are hesitant. Get better!
