Totally didn’t get paid still!

You know, I actually thought that maybe, just maybe, they’d find a way to fix the thing with the check. The guy who has to co-sign them was back in the store for several hours after we all got back from lunch break, but still no check. They made such a big deal about getting the vouchers turned in by 08:00 on Tuesdays that first week that I just assumed it was time critical and we’d be getting our checks before we left each Tuesday. This is the second week that the checks haven’t been handed out by end of day on Wednesday. I’ll probably get it as I’m walking outthe door on Thursday afternoon.

I did manage to find some money in my checking account, so I was able to eat a five dollar dinner, and I’ll have five or so dollars left for breakfast or lunch tomorrow.

At least next week when I get my payroll check next Thursday it will have all my hours on it, I’ve already confirmed that with the appropriate people. So far I’m looking at forty hours of regular pay plus twenty or so hours of overtime before this week’s hours are added. Yay me!

Now if I can just get my expense checks on time so I can eat and buy gas between now and then. After the payroll check is deposited, I’ll be able to set aside two hundred dollars (fifty dollars over my expense limit) for meals so I won’t have to wait for my voucher to get cashed every week. I’ll still need the voucher for gas. I mean that’s an extra hundred sixty miles every week I have to drive for the job, they can bleeding well pay for my gas.
