Project Boo-Boos!

Work blew huge elephant sized chunks today. I was all stressed because I thought my team was going to make us late getting out, but we ended up OK. In fact, due to a boo-boo higher up than me we got done almost forty minutes early. On the other side of the store, however, it was a different story. Rather than just leaving crap alone until the project people are done with the aisle, one of the store managers told a vendor to go ahead and fill up the shelves. The only problem was those shelves were not where that vendor was supposed to put their stuff, so the project team in that area had to take it all back down again which cost lots of time. Since we can’t have any minions with overtime, the managers had to stay and finish the work, and even then we didn’t get it all done.

Thanks for the friends note. I love you guys, I really do. You might not want to tell Sam that, he might take it the wrong way and start crushing on me and I’d hate to break his heart.

Regarding the AWA tickets, we need to wait for the confirmation letter for our registrations first anyway. Once we get that, I can front the money for the Early Start thing. If we try to pick up our badges and stuff at the convention, we all have to pick up our own badge, we can’t just have one person get them all. Since I’ll be a few hours behind you getting there, that might be a problem. For me, not you, the rest of the group would be able to get their badges, but I’d have to stand in line after I got there. Don’t worry about it: I’ll have something like fourteen hours of overtime on my next check. I will expect the rest of the group to make an effort to pay me back, but you and Sam don’t need to worry about it. Just let me know when the confirmation letter gets here and I’ll give Sam the form to fill out and a check.

And Sam should be ashamed, I wouldn’t have pushed anything before, and I certainly wouldn’t do it now.  If I had thought I couldn’t control myself I wouldn’t have joined you. If he was uncomfortable with the laying on my shoulder thing, sorry about that, we just won’t do it again. I’ve taken naps with my cousins that way (and no jokes about being from Alabama, please!) and I really don’t think anything of it anymore. Had we been sweaty, breathless and naked, it would have taken on a different context, but since we were both sleepy and fully clothed I think we were OK.

I don’t know how I managed this, but I’m only going to have ninety or so dollars to last me the next ten days, and I still have to buy gas to get home and back again. I might be able to skate with twenty or thirty dollars, gas is really cheap here, about fifteen cents less than home.

I haven’t seen Sam pop up as being on-line yet, so he may be having problems. In fact, I know he’s having problems. You need an admin log-on and password and yours won’t work.

Never mind, I just can’t spell.

Good nite, I’ll talk to you later!
