Giving the devil his due

Ok so its really not that complicated

When I was with my ex-husband, we had to file married but separate because he’s a tool and that is a higher tax or something or other

At any rate, I owe for several years back in the day

As well for current years

And why do I owe current years? Well that’s easy, I go exempt on everything from payouts from my 401K to when I get laid off, and since I don’t do any estimated tax payments, I get really nailed at the end of the year

I had been making payments to the IRS while at Stanford for many years, and that worked out great

However, I am not (but will be again soon I hope!) at Stanford and so for the last year and a half, haven’t been making payments

It caught up with me when I got the notice of garnishment

Always needing a fire under I tell you

I filed all that I needed to file and my payments are $350 a month. I could lower it but why bother? It will just take longer to get that total down and I really want to be done with it

So yeah, no excuses, its totally my fault and I still need to deal with the state…the IRS is worse, so I should be ok with the state

I am just shaking my head…I have not one lick of sense sometimes
