Last Check

Got the last installment from the garnishments today, so the lawsuit is officially over.

I’m still down about $950 from all this… what a crock.  I had to sell two of my basses to cover these attorney’s fees…. ah, whoever said life was fair?  What the hell… A friend comes to you in need, you lend the money interest-free, she disappears on you, her boyfriend threatens you, you give her two years to pay because you feel bad about her circumstances and want to give her a chance to get back on her feet, you offer to settle outside of court, you finally take her to court, you WIN, and when it’s all over, you get your money back (no interest, of course), but you owe your lawyer $1,000.  Isn’t it great to help out a friend?

I’m never lending money again.  I haven’t really trusted anyone in three years now.  I hate that, but it’s true.

Got some other crap going on, but I don’t feel like getting into it right now.  Maybe I’ll write more later.
