Been awhile…

Hi folks,

Sorry I haven’t updated in awhile. To be honest, I kind of forgot about this website. It’s been at the back of my mind, but I’ve been putting off updating it because I’m so far behind and I don’t know where to start. I even made a myspace, okcupid, and 43things profile in the meantime! lol.

Fiona’s album was released on October 4th and debuted at #7 on the Billboard Chart. It spent three weeks in the Top 40 and we’re all very proud of her. She’s going on tour with Coldplay starting later this month, and I couldn’t be happier.

Amie and I broke up about two months ago. Things are just starting to be “okay” between us. It was pretty bitter there at the end. I miss her a lot, especially when I listen to The Postal Service (as I’m doing right now, actually – Sleeping In, if you’re curious).

With Free Fiona behind me, I can focus on real estate. I learned a lot from the campaign – especially what *not* to do – and I had a lot of fun. Even though the campaign was a success in the technical sense, I only recently patched things up with Lisa (Chicago campaign manager), and I think Tracy is pretty much a lost cause. I hope that one day we’ll be okay. I’m willing to make good on this, but I don’t think she wants anything to do with me. That’s her decision, I suppose.

I’m working on a real estate project at the Lake of the Ozarks, and I think this is going to be fun.

I miss Philadelphia. I miss Whole Foods and having a clearly focused goal… I just realized how absurd that sounds, considering what happened in Philly, but you get the idea. Or, if you don’t, it’s not that important.

I feel good these days. I feel like I’m starting a new chapter in my life, which is always a good thing. I’m not ignoring the last year, I’m just moving on from it. Amie will be special to me for the rest of my life, and I’m glad that we’re still going to be friends.

I saw Harry Potter tonight with Nathan and his girlfriend and a few of their friends. I think Nathan is one of the best people I know. He’s my friend and I really do love him.

Anyway, it’s after 3 in the morning, and even though I’m not tired, I’m gonna wrap this up. I *WILL* update this more often. Opendiary used to be such a huge part of my life, and I don’t even give it lip service anymore. I will be back soon.

Best,

Dave
