NOJOMO whoa

Good news first: My mom went in to get her test results back. If you remember, she had one of her kidneys removed because they found a tumor. The cancer has not spread to any part of her body and all cancer was contained in the kidney. All she has to do now is go in for chest x-rays for the next five years. Thank GOD for that!

I’m feeling so much better right now. I was really sick these past couple of days. I’m sure it was a sinus infection that turned really bad. Blowing yellow snot and realizing that the sickness is on its way out is a good feeling. SO sorry to gross you out. I had to spend the night in the spare room lastnight. I was hacking, my throat was tickling me and I had to keep blowing my nose. Today I’m still blowing my nose like it’s going out of style.

Today should be a cake walk. In this district, they encourage grandparents (or ANYONE else for that matter) to pick up kids after lunch for an early Thanksgiving break. The district that I grew up in wouldn’t fathom that idea, because hello! uhhh, I know it’s close to a major holiday, but they never encouraged people to come and pick up their kids. It’s a little backwards, but hey, if there’s less kids that I have to normally teach, I say bring it.

I’m going with mom tomorrow morning to get Thanksgiving shopping done. It’ll be fun to hang with her in her little motorized cart with the basket on the front. I’ll be sure and pop a wheelie when she’s not looking 😉

Well, I guess I’d better get going. 3rd grade will be here in a second. Out!

I didn’t know about your mom, but I’m really glad all is well. Cancer can be a scary thing. When Cody and I first started dating, he got in one of those carts and started driving around the store. It made me laugh that he was so casual about it. Anything to embarass me! LOL.

great news about your mom! you’d think they’d just dismiss early or close school if they were going to encourage parents to pick up their kids…oh well. i have a sinus infection too, and i just finished with one a little over a week ago. they’re miserable, huh?
