wino night

Ok– alcohol consumption is officially on a break for a looooonnngg time.

We went to a housewarming party on Saturday and were told to BYOW. Bad idea. I still think that I can drink like I used to, and I can’t. I still think that I have the tolerance like I used to, and I don’t.

I got sick, really badly outside of a club. Then I got sick again at home. It was the kind of sick where you cannot even control yourself. You just want to lay down and sleep for about 10 years. The next day we were both feeling pretty bad. My left eye has little red spots on it becuase I strained so hard when I was sick. I think it’s spreading around my eye a little, because when I woke up, it had moved a little bit  closer to the center of my eye. I’m praying that this goes away by Friday because we are supposed to go out to dinner with my mom.

I’m too old for this shit. What got in my head that red wine wouldn’t hurt me? This isn’t like me.

Anyway, no use in wallowing in my stupid actions on Saturday night. At least this doesn’t happen to me but maybe 2 times a year. Even then, it shouldn’t happen at all. Drinking makes me hungover the next day until 5.  When I was younger, all I’d have to do to get rid of my hangover was go back to sleep.

I’m laying off the alcohol for awhile. It’s too damaging to my body and too dangerous to myself to have this happen.

I didn’t mean for this to be a dreary entry…sorry! 😛

This entry reminded me of the song “Red, red wine”… hehe. I only drink one day a week. Maybe you should try that.

yeah, drinking a lot now is completely different than drinking a lot a few years ago! you just have to figure out your new limits.

aww, poor you. instead of reading “when i was younger”, i read that sentence as “when i was 5”, and i was thinking, good LORD woman! what’s wrong with you?! yeah, it’s monday.
