past drunken weekend

My friend Christine and her bf Dan came into Houston a couple of weeks ago. It was Dan’s birthday and it was a perfect time for Christine to make the excuse to visit me while also giving Dan the opportunity to see the Texans vs. Colts football game on Sunday.

I know Christine thorough my times at Enterprise. She was hilarious and fun and always the life of the party. She lived with me for a short time and my cat ran away after her 2 cats (that I allowed to live with) took over my house. When I lived with Christine, I was miserable working for Enterprise. It was absolute hell, I hated every minute of that job and all  I wanted to do was either go out and live it up or sit inside and watch movies by myself. When I would come home some days, Christine would be fixing herself a drink. At first I shrugged it off. Then it was a constant thing. Half the time we went out to the bars for more drinks and to listen to a live band. The other half was spent having a girls ‘wine night’ and watching ridiculous late night t.v. and reading trashy celebrity mags.

Christine moved back to Indianapolis after breaking up with a douchebag of a bf. I’d like to brag that I got her out of that relationship. Yes, you’re welcome. No woman should be made to feel the way she did. She took a lot of crap, and I was the one to tell her that it was wrong. ANYWAY…

So Dan and Christine visited Matt and I. We were in for witnessing the biggest drinkfest in the history of the universe. It was not a bad weekend. It wasn’t a annoying weekend, but my God, I’ve never seen people drink this much alcohol since I turned 21. They have a problem! There! I said it!

Here’s our weekend in pics. Like I said, Matt and I stayed more sober than these crazy people. Good times.

Our first stop off the plane.. what else, a good tex-mex lunch? 🙂

Later that night at Baker Street…Matt and I

Christine and Dan. I don’t like the beard he is sporting. Not a big beard fan… Oh well, some ppl can pull them off..

While playing putt putt golf…

Hmmm. I don’t know. Me wanting my turn but not getting it yet.

St. Arnold’s brewery on Saturday morning…

After the brewery, we went over to my parents house to hang out in the sun. Here’s my parents new Schnoodle– half poodle, half schnauzer (sp?). Her name’s IZZI. How cute is she? Mind you, Dan took vodka shots at our house before coming to my parents. I was cringing secretly. Eeeek!

Next day, a huge breakfast prepared by Chef Christine (Christine the Machine) who makes damn good food. Here’s me excited to hold the tickets in my hand.

Matt and Dan in the parking lot before the game…At this point, Matt is just rolling with anything. We are both exhausted by this point. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we’re BOOZIN’! huh

Me being silly…

Game time!

The happy couple…

Back in the parking lot after the game. Texans lost, but it was a good game. Here’s me asking my hubby if he’s lookin’ for a date…

Leave me alone…

Ahhh jeez… at the Flying Saucer after the game. Drunken couple starting to annoy Matt and I.

At Cafe Adobe, the place that I convinced these drunk asses that they needed to eat their delicious mexican food. In reality, I was looking for a restaurant within 5 minutes that would give our guests enough food to stuff their stomachs and soak up alcohol. Here’s Matt and I looking like tired parents after a long babysitting session…

Oh yeah, they’re still going strong. SHIT!

Annnnd that’s all folks!!

Cheers!

wow! that’s quite a weekend. I don’t think I could do all of that drinking, and I’m not really sure I’d even want to! I’m glad it wasn’t worse though! oh and I met Mario Williams and RA Sushi a few weeks ago. That man is HUGE!!! Too bad I don’t really care for football and I had no idea who he was! 🙂 PS-we still need to hang out! 🙂

I remember those old entries sharing with that girl, working at Enterprise. Time really does fly eh? You’ve progressed SO far. And a little FYI: You two are so much more the hotter couple that they are…sry but you are 🙂 Loved the NFL pics too! Finally, damn girl, you mean to say that’s how the US does crazy golf? You’d be so bummed out playing it here. Take it easy.

Yay–I am finally reading entries again! Love the pics–LOL on that “exhausted” pic–that is exactly how parents look after watching crazy kids. That’s how i look lately chasing after my crazy dog. Ha ha. I can’t drink like they do–in college, maybe, but now–nope, I’ve kind of grown out of it. I see you’re the same way. Also, your friend’s BF definitely need to shave–he’d be so much cuter!
