Friday! Friday! Friday!
This is Matt and I’s anniversary weekend 🙂 Yes, it’s already been a year, can you believe it? Let’s recap, shall we?
September 2nd 2006 Matt flew into Intercontinental Airport and started his life in America. 14 days later, we got married, then flew to Hawaii for our honeymoon. When we got back, I was the breadwinner, and it was tough! 🙂
Mom was happy to add another chair to the table at Thanksgiving. Christmas was a new experience for Matt, who never saw so many decorations in his life. Hey, welcome to America! New Year’s was spent in L.A. and was an incredible experience. I’m glad he didn’t have a job so we could see and do everything. When we got back, immigration forms were filled out with our lawyer, documentation of our relationship was collected, and we FINALLY received the papers in the mail welcoming Matt to the United States, complete with a spelling error in the ‘Welcome to America!!’ letter. haha.
Job search ensued. That sucked. Finally he found a great job that is perfect for him. Bought a car for him, bought a cell phone, bought loads more work clothes. Finally, we are settled in. It took awhile, damn near a year, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Sunday will be spent having a great dinner at Vic & Anthony’s, (http://www.vicandanthonys.com/flash_content/index.html) then going to the theatre to see a play http://www.alleytheatre.org/alley/Default_EN.asp. How romantic! This is my idea of a perfect evening. I cannot wait. I bought a new dress for the night too. Part of me wants to go all out and get my makeup done at the NARS counter, but I think I’ll pass.
Today is a day off of work to clean out/declutter my home. I’ve realized that even though I graduated from Texas Tech close to 4 years ago, it still looks like I’m college. I’m a pack rat, what can I say?!? Next onto the grocery store to load up on essentials, then onto World Market to get Matt his Engligh PG Tips tea. 🙂 Aww bless him.
Have a great weekend everyone!!
Mmmmm, PG Tips is yummy! 🙂 Congrats on the anniversary!

I don’t think they would, since he doesn’t pay tax in the UK. And i think they get written off after like fifteen years too.
