Keeping Busy
Last weekend we traveled out of town for a day of celebrating and a bit of shopping. A good friend of mine from high school is married, and her husband just got home from Afghanistan after being gone for a year. She was having a welcome home party, so we ventured that way to celebrate with them. We didn’t know many of the people there, but it was nice to visit with my old classmate a bit and just let them know we are so glad her husband is back home. Hannah was really fussy on the ride there and back for some reason, so we didn’t do as much shopping and just enjoying the day as we would’ve liked. We went to lunch, to the party, to Mass, and then pretty much headed back. I’m not sure if she was just overly tired or what was the matter. We stopped at my mom and dad’s on the way to the party, and Hannah kept saying she wanted to stay there instead. I think she was really telling the truth, and we probably should have let her hang out with Mimi and Papa all day rather than venturing out with us!
Tonight Trent and I teach Theology of the Body to our high school freshmen and sophomores. I always pray that we hold their attention and that they walk away from the class with at least something new stirring in their hearts. They can be a tough age to get discussion out of, and there are often times they act like they aren’t getting anything out of it. I know that’s not the case and that they are listening; I just hope that they walk away at the end of the year stronger in their faith and having a better understanding of what God’s plan is for them. I really miss these nights at home with Hannah, but my mother-in-law is coming over to baby-sit tonight. We don’t seem to see the in-laws much when we are busy during the school year, so it’s always nice to be able to visit a bit before and after class.
The only other news I have is that after my doctor’s appointment last week, my doctor said that I can go back on Clomid after this next cycle of mine. I am very excited to be able to try again! Not like we have been completely trying to keep from getting pregnant; however, it just doesn’t seem to happen for us unless I have Clomid as an extra boost. We hope and pray that we can get pregnant again and then hold the pregnancy. Extra prayers daily for God’s blessings and also for patience as we trust in His timing.
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
Nice to read you again. It’s cool that you are teaching Theology of the Body. God bless.
