Accomplishments

This weekend has been one where I have gotten some things done.  I still have more to do, though, and I am watching the time on this Sunday evening creek away.  I need time to slow down for a few hours!!

Thursday night we finally got the rest of our nursery furniture.  Much to our relief, it was the correct color and all is well.  We put it together that night, and then a huge stress was gone.  Now we feel like we are ready for Baby to get here.

Work has been tough lately because I am exhausted by the end of the day.  My stomach cramps and my legs hurt, but I know that’s just because I’m up and moving around a lot.  Friday was really bad, and I think it’s because the schedule was all out of wack with pictures and the Homecoming parade.  I am much looking forward to a normal week!  I got my sub plans pretty much wrapped up and handed them over to my sub.  This way she can look through them and write down any questions she has before the big day arrives.  It’s just a good feeling to have them in her hands now and out of mine!

This weekend my mom came over to help me get some things done in the nursery as well as around the house.  We spent a majority of yesterday cleaning windows and washing / ironing curtains.  I wanted to get a lot more done, but things just took longer than we planned.  Today I have cleaned most of the upstairs minus the ktichen.  It looks much better, and I feel better now that it’s done.  I ‘ve done some laundry and am planning to head up soon and work on reading lesson plans for the next few weeks so that they’re done up until I go on maternity leave.  Maybe then Trent and I will get motivated to do a little more housework.

I have another doctor’s appointment tomorrow.  Last week Monday I wasn’t dilated at all yet, which was a good thing.  We’ll see what he says tomorrow!  I have to leave work a bit early to go because I am doing Parent / Teacher conferences tomorrow evening and Tuesday evening.  They are scheduled in my district for the week that I am due, so I am doing them ahead of time just in case.  That way they’re done and that’ll be one more thing I can check off my To Do list!

Anyway, I will close with some pictures from the nursery.  I hope that you all enjoy them!

I am much better at smiling and looking pregnant than helping!

I love your nursery! I absolutely adore the dark wood (we couldn’t swing it in our nursery) and that yellow was one that we had set up as one of our choices when we painted our room 🙂 Beautiful. You’re making me all excited, nervous and anxious about all the junk I still have to get done before I go out. Are you taking your leave a little early? I can’t decide whether to…

…start my leave the week I’m due (I’m due the Saturday after Thanksgiving) or to take an extra week. I just don’t know!

ryn: that was my grandma and grandpa’s song… my uncle sang it at my grandma’s funeral… so sad… we were going to have it as our song but there is too much emotion attached to it.
