Taking a Minute *with pics
I feel like I have been on the go constantly since school has started. I am working really hard to get sub plans all laid out, copies made, etc. so that I don’t panic whenever I go into labor. I feel like I am almost there. Hopefully this week I’ll be able to wrap up a few things so that it’s smooth sailing from then on out! I just don’t want labor to begin and then have the worry of school on top of everything. I’ll get it all done, and I’ll be super relieved when I do!
School is going well. I am adjusting to 2nd grade, and I must say that I really enjoy it. I miss seeing some of the teachers from the other building, but I think I’ll make it a point to see them more often if and when things slow down and I’m not constantly trying to work on my sub file. There are perks to this grade level over 3rd grade, but there are also some new stresses. It has been good, though, and I feel like I made the right choice for us as a family.
Other than working, we have been trying to get things here at the house ready for Baby! It has been exhausting but yet fun. The crib is supposed to arrive Thursday (cross your fingers that everything goes well), and then we will be complete. That will allow us to get the crib set up so that we can finish decorating the nursery and getting things situated. I have all of the baby things washed and put away from my shower, and tomorrow I am going to work on getting the bedding and a few other things washed. I have pretty much everything I need for the hospital ready, so now I just need to pack my bag and have it ready to go! A lot of people think I am crazy for being this anal about having things ready, but that’s just the way that I am. I will not be able to relax and just enjoy the last bit of this pregnancy journey unless I am ready to go and feel at peace.
Trent and I made a trip to Colorado Springs last weekend to pick up the final things we needed at Babies R Us and to do some other shopping. We found a boy and a girl outfit to bring the baby home in (which ever one we end up needing), a baby book, and some items for me. We also just spent the time together, spent the night, and enjoyed each other’s company. It was such a wonderful trip! We really had no schedule to adhere to, which was terrific. I really wish we had another weekend to get away again, but I’m sure that my traveling days are pretty much over.
I have a doctor’s appointment on Monday, and this will be my 36-week checkup. That is so hard to believe! He’ll check me for the first time (yippee), so we’ll see where we’re at. I hope and pray that the baby has gotten flipped and will stay with the head down now. I hope that the baby doesn’t really come early because it would work better for me taking off days so that I could have off until after Thanksgiving, but everyone else around me seems to have other feelings about that. They all think I’m going to go early — we shall see!!
Well, I am just rambling now. I want to close with some random pictures from this summer…

You and your baby belly are adorable! I can’t believe how far along you are. And I don’t blame you for planning everything out. You only want to be prepared for whenever this baby wants to make its appearance. Ashley
