Another week gone
I can’t believe how quickly this summer is going! Here it is almost July. As a teacher, I really treasure my summer months, so I’m always sad to see them go.
This week I didn’t accomplish much, really. We did spend time with family, which is always nice. I also had a few days to really relax and lay around the house watching TV. I needed some of those days.
We went on a walk and stopped by the school. They haven’t even started cleaning the 3rd grade rooms and haven’t moved any of the other teachers’ things out of my new room. So, I am just going to wait until they get that stuff done before even thinking about putting things away. There’s really no point in going in and dusting and organizing things because I’d have to clean again in August. I might as well let the summer dust grow and just do it once in August!
I think I saw a mouse this morning in my laundry room, and I freaked out. We have never had a mouse in our house, but I am extremely afraid of the creatures. So my husband’s job is to find and catch the mouse, find where it came from, and fix it all before I can do any more laundry! hehehe I am terrible, I know.
Well, I better get going. I am at my in-laws’ house right now. Trent is helping his dad work on their basement, and then we have to leave this afternoon out of town for a wedding that Trent is in. We have rehearsal tonight and then the wedding is tomorrow evening. It’ll be nice to see some old friends, but it does mean another weekend away from home. I don’t think we’ve been home or attended church in our hometown for about a month now. I guess I am getting a little "homesick" and am ready for things to all calm down and be at home for a longer length of time. Besides, I am tired of packing all my stuff!!! Oh, well!
I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend! I am off to waste some more time before we go… Ta-ta!
that is such a wonderful picture of you and trent.

Mice aren’t that bad — they’re more afraid of you then you are of them! Or you can get a cat until Trent can find the hole (or holes, or cracks) in the laundry room. 🙂 Happy weekend!
