Private Viewing

We journeyed to the other side of the state this weekend.  And it is a very large state.  Drove 8 hours one way to spend just under 24 hours and then drive back 8 hours.

But we were treated to some wonderful scenery on the way.  We live on the plains.  Rolling landscape, farmland, tired, slow rivers that meander and take their time where they are going.   That describes the lifestyle here too.  No one in too big of hurry, content to just get where they are headed when they get there.

We left very early Sat morning and reached  the foothills of the Rocky mountains around 10:30, just a mere 5 hours later.  We were listening to a spectacular flutist on the CD player and she was playing "Wind Beneath My Wings" as we rose into the snowcapped mountains that were colored golden by the sun rays reflecting off of the snow.  It was so beautiful that we all stared out the window and were awed.

I thank God for the vision to see such beauty.  It felt like a private viewing was being held for just us.

I never fail to be awed by the beauty of your state…mostly the “big sky.” I’m thankful that you and your family are blessed with the vision to see and appreciate the wonders of God’s creation. Love, Momma
