From Your Knees

This coming Sunday I’m singing a solo in church.  The title of the song is:  "From Your Knees".  I wanted to share the words here with all of you because it has such a great message.  This song was written by friends of mine who are no longer singing Southern Gospel.

From Your Knees

Somebody has a hardened heart.  A life filled with sin.  So many times you have talked, but they just won’t give in.  Then the Lord speaks to you and says:  "one thing you’ve failed to see.  You can fight this battle best from your knees".

You can fight this battle best from your knees.  Let the power of God, renew your victory.  If you learn to take more action and do it faithfully.  You can fight this battle best from your knees.

Somebody has a broken heart.  A life filled with shame.  You’ve searched and searched to find a way to help them heal again.  Then the Lord speaks to you and says:  "one this is plain you see.  You can fight this battle best from your knees."

You can fight this battle best from your knees.  Let the power of God, renew your victory.  If you learn to take more action and do it faithfully.  You can fight this battle best from your knees.

You must be a good singer. Thanks for your note on my “first date” entry (which isn’t visible at the moment because I might be violating someone’s privacy). I wonder if the cool kids at my school ever secretly yearned to hang out with the kids in my circle?

There is a most beautiful song called Bow the knee… have you heard that one?
