So Glad Vacation Starts in 2 Days

Hello All,
I know I haven’t been here for some time.  So I guess I need to update on many things.

First:
I cancelled the agreement that I had with the mobile home dealership.  Why??? Because my mom can’t make up her mind what she wants to do, and I don’t have the patience to wait for her to decide.  One day she wants to move in with me, the next day she doesn’t.  One day she says:  "I’ll help you with the payments", the next day she says:  "I can’t help you".   I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second:
I have kept my little mobile home.  It’s mine.  Bought and paid for in full.  Needs some work, but I’ll do a little at a time next week, now that I’m not worrying about mom.

Third:
Work…..well….We have several new Sisters from TX with us.  Sr. Denise is a riot!!!  Oh man, she says what she thinks, and if you don’t like it well….tough titty said the kitty!!!  Sr. M.Anna, the one that drives me up a tree, was working as my charge nurse several nights ago.  I was in the hall by Sr. Denise’s room, when Sr. M. Anna raps on her door and in her nicey, nicey, sick tone she says:  "Sr. I’m here with your medication."  Sr. Denise had been napping in her recliner, so Sr. M. Anna kinda scared the crap out of her.  Sr. Denise says:  "Anna Maria, you scared me half to death!!!"  Sr. M. Anna yells at her and says:  "my name is NOT Anna Maria.  My name is Sr. Marie Anna _______!!! And that’s what you’ll refer to me as."  With that Sr. Denise says to her: "I don’t care what the flying  ____ your name is.  Don’t you ever yell at me again, B_____!

I’m like…..Holy Crap….Sisters fighting.  I walked the other way really fast.  Then Sunday, July 5th, there was a Party for the Srs. living on the 5th floor.  Sr. Denise and several others had invited me to join them for Root Beer Floats, cookies, and cupcakes, and they asked me to lead the Patriotic music.  So I said:  "ok, I’ll be up around 3:30pm".  Well, all was quiet the whole day in the Health Center, so I left at 3:20pm and went to the 5th floor.  Got there and the Sisters were enjoying their RB Floats.  Sr. Denise said:  "hey, about time you showed up, we were beginning to wonder about you."  So I sat down and started chatting with the Sisters.  There were 23 of them that came to the party.  They served me, which is weird.  I normally serve them.  Then while I was leading patriotic music, Sr. M. Anna comes trotting by and says:  "Carol, what are you doing here!  You don’t belong with the Srs.!"  I mouthed to Sr. Denise, (crap, I’m in trouble).  Well, another Sr. saw that and as I was getting up to leave, Sr. Helen says:  "Carol, sit down.  I’ll take care of this."  She goes over to Sr. M. Anna and says:  "Listen here.  Carol does more in nursing then you ever thought of doing.  You see, she knows that nursing isn’t just passing medications, getting people ready for bed, or caring for the sick.  She knows that it’s also spending time getting to know each of us on a personal basis.  Now leave her alone!!  (at that time I did not know that Sr. Helen had lived with Sr. M. Anna in Bolivia.  And that Sr. Helen is a nurse.)  With that, I stayed up on the 5th floor and enjoyed my time.

Later in the evening, Sr. Helen stopped me and said:  "I’ve known Sr. M. Anna a very long time.  The reason why she yells at you all the time is because she wants to be like you.  She’s jealous of you.  Because we Srs. love you very much, and she knows it.  She will never be like you, simply because she is cold and has a Jekyll-Hyde personallity.  She has never found her niche in life and nursing is the 5th job she’s had.  Nothing makes her happy.
You just keep being your sweet self.  Keep smiling, keep telling us you love us.  Because we know that you do.  We know that we can ask you for help and you’ll help us, and if you can’t, you’ll find the person that can.  Carol, you’re a special lady and someday God is going to truly bless you.

I looked at her and said:  "Sr. I am blessed already in many ways.  I have clothes, food, job, family, friends, and a strong faith in the Lord.  He has given me many things and He’ll keep on blessing me and you."  She hugged me and I left.

Fourth:
I start my vacation this coming Friday.  Friday, one of my girlfriends and I are going to Madison for the day.  We want to go to the Henry Vilas Zoo and the Arboretum.  Then maybe take in a few shops along the way.  I’d like to hit Ward Brodt Music Mall, and Scrapbook Plus and maybe Zimbrick Kia.  I’m thinking about trading my minivan for a Kia Rio Sport.  They get great gas mileage and one of the nurses has one and loves it.  She drives further than I do in the winter.  But that is just a thought.

Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July.  Enjoy the rest of the summer.  Hey, does anyone know how to take the pics I’ve got on Facebook and post them here?  If you do, let me know.

They are beautiful photos. As for posting on Facebook, I can barely post photos on Open Diary! I need to update on Facebook. I really hate that site. As for the sisters, they are human. I find many people suffer from jealousy. I find that very strange when some people are totally talented at what they do.
