Hello

Hello Everyone,
This spring & summer have been soooooo busy for me.  Let me update everyone on the latest saga with my mom.

Well, 2 wks ago, I drove all the way to Wisconsin Dells, to the mobile home dealership where I was purchasing the mobile home to do the paper work.  Put the down payment on the home, after I had checked the home all over and had the dealership do some repairs on the home to make it adequate for mom.
Spent the rest of the day in the Dells, with a girlfriend, and came home later that evening.  On Monday, went back to the bank and gave them the information from the dealership on home much I needed for the home.  They gave me loan papers to fill out and have my mom fill out her portion for how much she was going to give me per month to stay with me.  Took the papers to mom’s and the WAR started.

1.  mom said:  "if you need a home loan, don’t expect me to co-sign on this loan paper.  Your father and I didn’t have help.  That’s what the banks are for!!!"
2.  mom said:  "it’s none of the banks business how much I give you.  That’s between you and me.  They just want my information if you default on the loan.  Well they aren’t gonna get it."
3.  So mom refused to sign the loan papers so I took them back to the bank and gave them to the loan officer.  I knew what the answer was going to be on the loan…….NO LOAN…..you don’t qualify, because you don’t have enough assests, nor do you make enough money per month to pay a payment of $298 on top of the $289 that you pay for your minivan.

I tell mom this and she says:  "well, that’s too bad honeygirl.  If the bank won’t give you the money, then I don’t know what you’re going to do.  I looked at her and said:  "well, I guess you’ll have to go to the Nursing Home."    Note:  World War 3 broke out when I said this.

So, I’m back to just keeping my little place, and just my doggie and I  will be living here.  Mom will eventually have to go to the nursing home, because she can’t come here.  It’s too little.  I tried.  I’m saddened, but I do understand her reasoning.  She just doesn’t understand the banks reasoning.  Things are way different now then they were when I was a kid.

Hugs to you, my friend. I can only imagine how stressful this must be for you. I am stressing, too. I finished school, got my teacher’s license, and can’t land a job.

That’s too bad! I’d hope your mum could come to her senses and sign the papers.
