Scrapbook Calendars

The entire month of December I spent making calendars for my family. That’s partly why I’ve been MIA for most of the last month. I buy blank calendars from Close To My Heart for each of my family members (5 calendars in total) and make a scrapbook layout for the top of the page. Then I hand stamp each month along with the dates, holidays and birthdays. They’re nice because not only are they really personal calendars, but when the month is over, you cut off the page and add it into your scrapbook, so it’s really like two gifts in one.

I made a total of 60 pages, there were many, many late nites. Including Christmas Eve’s eve until 4 in the morning finishing up! All of the pages are unique though and everyone’s calendar was personalized with pictures of them and my kids or them and their kids, etc.

I’ll update more later, gotta run to the rental property now!

Wow, that’s a ton of work. I hope that people appreciate the personalized gift! I like my family calendars. My wife makes ’em online somehow. It’s pretty cool stuff. I save them every year.

wow, thats a really really good idea… and you are really good at it. i might copy you, though i doubt a calendar of stick figures and blurry snapshots probably isnt much of a gift… ryn: i think andrew would want her to be in kalen’s life, but then if andrew were here, this would be a non-issue, you know? i guess i want her in his life too, i just want an apology from her. so maybe whenkalen is in his 30s they will get to hang out hahaha

I’ve never done a calendar even though I have bought one to make. Heck I haven’t scrapbooked in almost 2 years. That is very depressing.
