where has summer gone

Is it August already? Time flies even if your not having fun! the extreme heat in Colorado this year has been difficult to bear, and the Fires, and shootings have only added to it all. on the more positive side, my youngest daughter and my grand daughter did visit for about 3 weeks in July. That was a great time, having them around daily. Work, on the other hand has been miserable. they changed our hours. All offices are now open until 9pm, which means at least 2 therapists, one front desk worker, and a crisis worker are available till 9. these are retail hours, not mental health hours. I can see having a client at 5, or 6. but even 7, let alone 8? who wants to do therapy at 8pm? do you want your children doing therapy at those hours? (when they should be getting ready for bed) Do you want to stir up your problems that late at night? Can therapist even think that late at night? all good questions that the bosses have ignored (as all bosses do everywhere) for myself, I can stay up working till 9, but then I can’t sleep. I toss and turn all night and come to work the next day exhausted. as do those who are much younger than me. yes, a wonderful plan. I do such good work when my mind doesn’t work….

finances are tighter then ever, and my middle daughters bosses are giving her a hard time because she has been ill so much, with migraines, and lately with low blood pressure issues. (which to the ER doctors just shrugged and told her not to work for a few days, while her boss says come in regardless.) bosses…. just work till you drop, then we will hire someone else…

on the brighter side, I have set my easel up, and started redoing an oil (for my youngest daughter–that I started years ago) and I have plans for a horse head for the other one. need to get a head shot of her black horse first thought.

well off to work  i go…. hi ho hi. ho…

Colorado used to be soooo pleasant in the summer. And the shooting? Used to live in that particular part of Aurora. Life goes on.
