winter blues
winter always gets me down, the cold and snow finally hit Colorado and my mood plunged accordingly. I was down with a bug last week, so missed a lot of work, mentally I’m fine my body is just resisting , or there is the mild sinus headache, stuffiness, etc. but back to work today, tonight another snow storm hits and messed the roads up yet again. I am really considering moving south when I retire! but that is 2 years away so that’s at least 2 more winters…. yuck.
my youngest told me she has a mold infection, which is apparently fairly common in the states next to the coast. comes from the older homes molding , and the spores get in the air. My youngest was sick with what she thought was a cold for months before going to the doctor, who diagnosed it for her. and offered her an inhaler for when times are bad. she said when it is sunny she is fine, but rainy days she has a hard time breathing. so they won’t be staying in the Carolina’s for long. another 6 to 7 months she says. her husband wants to move to new York where he grew up, she doesn’t. so we’ll see.
my middle daughter finally got enough donations from friends to afford to get her rescue mare’s knee ex rayed–that will happen sometime this month. a new shoer, has helped her hoofs and we are hopeful that she will be better and more usable later in the year. she turned 39 yesterday (my daughter not the horse ) and I’m wondering where time went? my middle child is 39–really? wow. she has two job interviews coming up, one with company she is currently with and one with a different company. she will make her decision based on pay and benefits offered. again, by end of Feb should have some information to work off of, and move forward from’.
visited my youngest grandson yesterday, gave him a hug or two and it seems he may come over to my house once in awhile to play Wow. so that will be nice
my work remains the same. Our pets remain the same. 3 old dogs and a 4 cats. the kitten we got last fall is now a cute young Kat. he is only about 4 or 5 months old. when I get my taxes back I will have him neutered and buy a ticket to go visit my youngest daughter.
so, life goes on.
Up here, where I’m “vacationing” we’ve gone through your snow cycle about eight times since I arrived here last November. The one that started yesterday has delayed my trip to Yellowstone by a day or two. Grandchildren are cool guests. Be well, my friend.

Sounds like my life, lol. Except my horse is still fit and fine but I have not seen her for more than just a couple of minutes here and there for about three weeks now. We had sleet and ice here so the oilwell drill bit plant shut down and I had to work twelve or more hours a day for the last five days since it needed 24 hour coverage and it takes two guards at a time. I am physically and mentallyexhausted!
