I’m not dead! (I feel fine…)
I finally got over my cold. π
I bought a Roku player which streams Netflix’s Watch Instantly movies to my TV so I can watch movies on DVD, online and on my TV from Netflix now. π I had to buy a router to use it though and it took forever (it seemed)before it worked right. Couldn’t stay online, fixed that, couldn’t be online and use the Roku player at the same time, fixed that, called customer service for my router four times, kept getting disconnected (except for the second call), third and fourth times I got to talk to someone in India, barely understood them, fourth one was rude, etc. But after all that they both work! Amelia and Jocelyn are watching a movie on there as we speak. π
Monday should be really hot. It’s supposed to hit 80º here. I think it should stay around 70-75º max. to be okay. Not looking forward to the heat.
Wesley is going to TMUES in September (it’s upper elementary school for 5th and 6th grade)for 5th grade, Christopher will still be at CES for 3rd grade and Amelia will be in Kindergarten! That means it will be just me and Jocelyn for half the day and then me, Amelia and Jocelyn until the boys come home.
Playing TS2 a lot but can’t seem to bring myself to write the next chapter for my Legacy family, the Dean’s. I have too many people to age up before I can. I think after that, I’ll stick to a neighborhood I make myself for any more Legacy families I make. Here’s a link to my Dean family tree in case anyone’s interested in seeing it. π tamalee.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse (not sure how to make it clickable, though)
Still loving the DVR. π Jimmy was afraid the Roku player would replace the DVR completely but I told him there’s too much on the DVR that I can’t get on the Roku player (no new TV shows, for example)and I love being able to record things and watch them later. I just think they add to the fun of having a TV and digital cable. π
We got a new slow cooker (old one’s knob broke and then the lid shattered when it fell as I was trying to get something else down from the top of the cabinets)and it’s bigger than our old one. That one was 4 quarts and round, this one is 5.5. quarts and oval, plus it automatically goes to Warm when the food’s done cooking so I don’t have to do it myself and risk forgetting.
I don’t think I could use a Roku player actually. I have dial-up internet and I am thinking that you probably need high speed to stream something to a TV. I HATE dial-up internet but high speed is not offered AT ALL in my area and it sucks! I have even called Comcast and begged them to bring highspeed out here and they refuse. Sigh… I have not gotten Twilight (the movie) yet. I can’t believeI haven’t gotten it yet! I was planning to get it the very day it came out but I guess I got more into gardening and forgot about it. LOL. I will get it as soon as I see it though! I just never go to any stores these days with movies. LOL. I always go to the grocery store and Lowes and that’s it!

RE: Hehe, yeah it is pretty odd to see such a tall guy and a short girl, but I know lots of couples like that!

Technology is great, but it can be so frustrating until we get it working right.
