I hate the DMV…

So I go into the DMV to get a new i.d. card since my old one expired in 2002. I have everything I need and I’m filling out the application when the guy behind the counter tells me that the change of address receipt isn’t acceptable because it isn’t on their "list" of things they can take for the address. Pissed me off to no end because you would think if the damn website is okay with me putting in my expired i.d.’s number and updating the address that way, they’d accept it. So, after a lot of cussing on my part I left in a huff after throwing the piece of paper the guy tried to give me which lists everything I’d need. I already saw it a ton of times – I don’t need a fucking copy of it. I asked the kids’ school to send me a letter to our physical address (since the stupid DMV won’t accept a PO Box as an address even though we only get our mail there and all of our bills)but it didn’t come in yet. So now I get to wait for it to get here, get Jimmy to drive me back to the DMV and hope to god the dipshits there don’t tell me they won’t accept the letter. I might go postal if they do… All I want is to update my i.d. so when I fly out on the 29th (I’m going to see Hal Sparks do stand-up and meet a couple friends I’ve made on Myspace there!!!!)I don’t have to go through extra security.

Like I don’t have enough to deal with…

The DMV seemsm to make getting things harder and harder to get.
