luck
It took me a day and a half to work up the courage to do it but I called Sears today to find out about the prize I’d won! That in itself is a major prize. I hate the phone. Hate, hate, hate it. I didn’t always…. I dunno. It’s one of my crazy anxiety things. But at least I conquered it today! Anyway, I have won a free 10×13 portrait print (including the sitting fee). This is obviously the "prize" they offer everyone who didn’t win the BIG prize in hopes that, once they see the photos, they will purchase more than just the one free print. Well, have I got news for them! LOL We won’t have any money to purchase anything above and beyond what we get for free! 😛 I also got a coupon at that bridal show they had which entitles me to a free 10×13 print (including free sitting fee, no other purchase necessary). I asked the lady if I could use this coupon also to get two 10×13 prints — I plan to give one to each mother, maybe for Christmas — but she replied that I couldn’t use two coupons in one day. My rebut to this was that it was (duh) only ONE coupon, the other print was something I had won. She quickly told me to bring it in on the day of the appointment and the manager could decide that day. I have no problem walking out if they won’t give me both prints for free from the same session *shrug* so my best guess is that they will give them both to me in attempt to keep the "sale" of an additional package. Which they won’t get anyway but they won’t know that then. he he he We shall see what we shall see…
I did a little more sorting and packing work in the master bedroom today… nothing exciting there…
I really didn’t sleep much last night at all so hopefully tonight I’ll crash soon. I was too excited about contests and winning more prizes! lol I kept entering and entering and entering!
Had a couple nibbles today on the a/c I put up for sale on Kijiji. One guy said he would pay $75 on July 6th if he could come and pick it up today because his wife is pregnant and the hot nights are understandably a pain. I said "um, no" to that. I talked to BF about possibly accepting a post-dated cheque but he quickly and vehemently kyboshed that idea. What if the thing breaks between now and then? or what if he just decides he doesn’t want to pay and cancels the cheque. *sigh* I guess he’s right. I really doubt we will get $75 for the thing but who knows. It IS hot out there. LOL My hope is to get a minimum of $40. We only paid $5 for it at an auction last summer so even $10 gets us a profit. LOL (I wish we lived closer pseudo – I’d just give it to you!)
We had whole grain and herb encrusted tilapia for dinner with a spring salad mix. MMMM! I loooove this tilapia! so refreshing! not too fishy. And I didn’t put very much salad dressing on at all. A little later I had a bowl of elbow pasta with some butter melted on top of the noodles. Not a good snack but I was cooking up a pot to make a pasta/tuna salad and/or mac&cheese casserole (with tomatoes, carrots, garlic, onion, peppers, veggie, veggie, veggie) tomorrow and it just smelled so appetizing… A little while later I had some triscuits with some cheese on them. Probably a couple more than I should have had. But, really, on my crazy schedule all I’ve mentioned is probably all I will eat for the entire day (keeping in mind I went to bed at 11am this morning and got up around 2:30pm and will probably now go to bed sometime around 4am if I’m lucky…). I really have to get on a better eating and sleeping schedule. I’m supposed to eat every 4-6 hours with a carb at every sitting to keep my pancreas from getting lazy. Not having much luck with that lately though…

* that I did fairly well with my eating today
* that I’ve started some of the packing…
* that on Friday or Monday we will get to go into ODSP and get everything sorted out regarding them vs SC and I will, God willing, be able to stop stressing about it…
