I want to be less of a hermit.

Last night I had some awesome dreams starring some sexy boys from different tv shows. Four to be exact. I don’t remember the first two and I’m not sure WHY the last two but they were good dreams nonetheless. No sex or anything like that but some kissing, lots of sparks and excitement. There was some swimming (??) with Derek Hough from Dancing with the Stars. And then I think he turned into that a$$hole Australian (??) doctor with the blonde curls from ER. Don’t really understand either of those since I think Derek is goofy and the other dude an a$$hole… but there they are! Sexy as hell in my dream!! Time to do something new and exciting in my real life relationship I guess!! lol Anyway, I woke up with those "good dream feelings" that I *love* so it’s started out being a good day so far.

Hopefully today BF will get his one vacation day over Christmas (the Monday after) approved today. We have been severely concerned that the biotch who is his immediate boss would say no just out of spite but yesterday when he mentioned it to her she was in good spirits about it. So hopefully she will sign the form with no issue today.

I’m trying to get some people together for a New Years Eve party but it doesn’t seem to be happening. Every year BF and I do something together, usually alone – like going to the movies or just staying in. I have this superstition that whatever you are doing and whomever you are with on New Years Eve is who you’re going to be with for the entire year, sets the tone for the entire year. I want us to become more social. I want to be less of a hermit. I thought a games night would be fun – with limited drinking, like no falling down drunk-ness. We’re not big drinkers and I don’t like creating the potential for people to drive drunk… The people we would invite from BF’s work though seem to be BIG drinkers and we think they will probably want a drunk fest that night so our little party won’t be so appealing… I just hope SOMEBODY wants to come over…
I thought about going to Yuk Yuk’s on New Years Eve. We had tickets to do that in Ottawa once but I got really really sick and we ended up sleeping through the ball drop. Apparently, they are not having a New Years show at Yuk Yuk’s in Niagara Falls this year though! I couldn’t believe that. I’m sure it would sell out if they did.
So now I’m back to square one – any suggestions??

I am realizing how little time there is before Christmas and how much I still have left to do. Today, I am going to work HARD towards finishing cleaning this house and doing some dishes. We really let them pile up. I hate it but I also hate doing them so finding a solution to this dilemma is difficult. The dream of a dishwasher is my only salvation at this point. I have to have the house clean for my girls xmas party on the 17th. I’m hoping that tonight while watching tv (the tree-lighting thing is on AND Rudolph – my fave!!) I can finish wrapping the few items I already have and prepare the supplies I have to start making my Christmas crackers first thing next week.

This weekend we will decorate, put up the tree. Finish the cookie baking. We got two types of cookies done last Sunday and another’s dough is in the fridge waiting to be completed. We have plans for three more types after that but we shall see. I also have to go grocery shopping this weekend – get everything for the party. Do laundry at the laundramat, including our Christmas tree skirt. I think BF wants to go visit his family this weekend – not sure when that will happen.
We need to finish Christmas shopping for the few people on our list so that I can wrap them before I leave for Ottawa on the 19th. We also wanted to shop for a big screen tv as our little tele is going to croak soon… I have also been planning to bake and decorate two Santa cakes for each of our families…

I guess I’d better be off to start with the first task!
