I’ve been thinking about starting a blog to document the trials and tribulations of planning my wedding…

Things seem to be taking quite a different turn than I was expecting. It looks like we will be (96% sure this will be happening now) eloping to South Africa to get married on safari. Then we will be having a reception in Ottawa with my family and, hopefully if we can afford it (my mom is paying for the one in Ott), a reception in Niagara.

One guess why.

So, as I am thinking about starting a blog, a contest comes along on this bride chat site of which I am a member. It’s for full planning/coordination help – not just day of assistance but help planning the whole shebang from a professional wedding coordinator. In exchange, this woman asks that the winner blog on her site about her wedding experiences.

I was humming and hawing about entering because our dates are not all set in stone just yet. But the lady actually sent me a private message asking why I hadn’t entered her contest yet. I figured that was a good sign, so I got more serious about it and put together an entry. A sample of my very best blog-writing style.

My next entry on OD will be that contest submission. It has already been submitted so please don’t point out anything wrong with it – at least until after I lose. LOL Hopefully, it will make y’all want to read more… that’s the goal. I hope to dazzle! hehehe
