How much work is too much work?

One of the reasons I can afford dinners like those in my last entry is because I work so damn hard.  Last week alone I had three 14-hour days, and worked all 7 days of the week. 🙂

The thing is, I can literally feel my body breaking down, bit by bit.  I wonder sometimes if the money and the achievement is really worth it.  After all, I’m not getting any younger.

Then again, I am getting a bit of a break this week, so perhaps I can use the rest to get some fresh perspective on things.

Hmmmm….

One must always balance one’s work life with one’s quality of life.  Otherwise, why are we even working in the first place?

Have no proper job -so can’t really comment (still, any treats I do get are seen as being real treats -in the backdrop of skintness:-)… Hope you enjoy your break:-)

I think it also depends on how much you enjoy your job. If your job is stricltly WORK then you will burn out a lot faster than if you take some sort of pleasure in your day to day activities.

I was having a similar discussion with a friend the other day, he’s an investemnt banker & works 9-9pm. I asked him why, seems crazy to me to work 12 hrs, i’d neevr do that, but he told me it was due tot he lifestyle he’d become accustomed to.
