Fresh updates

It’s been a long while since I posted here, but I guess I owe all my friends some updates. 🙂

I’m still living in Korea, and have recently opened a new business there.  It’s still small-time (I only have 8 people in it so far), but things are promising and it looks like I’ll be able to expand sooner rather than later.  If all goes well, I should be able to retire by the age of 45 (max), or even 40 if business really picks up. 😉

I had some initial problems a while back with some business enemies (rival business owners) who plotted to have me kicked out of the country on some trumped-up excuse.  Good thing my partner is very powerful and well-connected.  Now it’s them (the enemies) who have been investigated by the authorities and it’s their business that is in danger of closing shop.  Ha.  Poetic justice.

I am still (sadly? happily?) single, and am not really sure what to do with my status.  Should I find someone to be with?  Should I try to just be by myself for a bit?  I honestly don’t know.  I have ladies that I date now and then, but I guess I still have no clue whether or not I’m going to settle in Korea for good.  If I knew that, then I feel I’d be able to make some long-term decisions regarding my personal life, and even perhaps entertain the notion of settling down.  I guess a lot depends on how well the business does, and just how good my Korean gets. 🙂

Life itself is generally good.  I can’t complain much… except I want to move to a bigger place with a nice bathtub. 🙂  I work so damn long here that I feel I deserve it.  Oh well.

Sorry for the rambling updates. 🙂  I guess it’s been a while since I wrote, and I just need to get the feel of things again.  I miss all of you.  Hope you’re having a tremendous year so far!
