Mass Murder Time?
Is mid-April a time for mass murders? On April 20, 1995, the Oklahoma City bombing occurred. Then, almost on its 4th anniversary, April 19, 1999, there was the Columbine shooting. Now, on April 16, 2007, after almost eight years, we had the deadliest shooting in U.S. history at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
After breaking up with his girlfriend, Seung-Hui Cho, a senior English major, shot almost 50 people, then himself. A total of 33 people were killed. Cho really is evil and crazy. If he wanted to shoot himself, he shouldn’t have taken others along with him. Actually, he really should have gone to the counseling center as adviced. There are too many violent people, and nowhere seems safe. Haven’t we had enough deaths and tragedies?
