Horoscopes and Zodiac Signs
For Chinese New Year, there are discussions and information about the animals of the Chinese zodiac, and how people born under each sign appeared and behaved. Not everything said about me, my family, my friends, and other people I know are true. In fact, some of the animals didn’t even have traits matching the people born in those years. I think the beliefs have also been twisted by western culture.
It is the same for western culture: not everything said about each zodiac sign is true with everyone born under the constellation. Though horoscopes are popular and appear almost everywhere, I never believe them, and only treat them as fun and games. ources of both Chinese and western horoscopes often contradict one another on the same animal or constellation when it comes to describing human traits. At times, the details may appear true, but that is because they list similar traits for every sign.
Everyone is different, so no one could be generalized or judged by horoscopes. Genes, background, environment, and many other factors also affect each person’s traits. Horoscopes can be used for entertainment, but not real life issues.
