Favorite Music

What is your favorite music? Has it changed as you’ve gotten older?

I pretty much listen to any music that is not loud and bangy. I like songs that are slow and smooth, with no nasty, improper, or bad content. The categories of music I like are classical, folk songs, R & B, country, soft rock, and some jazz.

The first songs I learned were mostly folk songs. I sang them at home with my family and in preschool and elementary school. I began taking piano lessons in kindergarten, and that’s when I started to like classical music. These were the types of music I grew up on.

As I progressed through college, I began hearing songs I like on the radio and other people’s tapes and CDs. I realized that I often like songs with singing and words, and that’s how the categories I mentioned were added. I often like to sing along with songs.

For my favorite song, there is too many to name. I am indecisive, and like too many songs.
