Hi, my name is (indecision), and I haven’t written since July. Ugh… can’t seem to keep writing for any length of time anymore. Remember the days of multiple entries? Well, anyway, I’m sitting here watching the Biggest Loser (something I don’t normally watch, but it’s on, and I needed a boost of motivation), and thought that this might be a good time to catch up with you.

Since I’m watching this, might as well start with a weight loss update. I’ve lost 28 pounds to date, now, and am down 2 sizes from my peak weight in April. This is where I was before I started working… 🙂 I used some rewards at work to get gift cards for clothing, and went on a shopping spree a couple weekends ago. (I paid for less than half of what I was actually able to get!) Now, admittedly the weight loss is not going nearly as quickly as it was in the beginning, but I’m actually only about 3.5 pounds from my original goal weight. Also I tend to splurge on the weekends these days – I mean, can a girl help it that it’s Oktoberfest? Can she help from drinking Franziskaner and eating Bavarian meatballs, Bavarian pretzels, Bavarian cream puffs, and potato pancakes?

But nevertheless, I’m proud of myself. I’m still tracking calories (when I can, and when I’m not eating Bavarian cream puffs), and I’ve found a lot of foods that I LOVE and are still good for me. My latest, greatest invention involves these Van’s multigrain waffles I found. I toast 2 waffles, and cover them with sliced bananas, strawberries, and blackberries. Oh my goodness gracious… 320 calories… filling… and DELICIOUS. It’s like having dessert for dinner. I feel like I’m cheating. (but I’m not!) I’d also like to give a shout out to Quaker Chewy Granola (chocolate peanut butter with protein) bars for being delicious and giving me protein for 110 calories. And tasting like dessert. And being a convenient breakfast on my drive to work every morning. 🙂

In other non-food, non-weight related news, I finally feel like Chris and I have some really good friends, and some wonderful COUPLES to hang out with. I know it was awhile ago that we reconnected, but it’s really nice having Meg & Scott here. New friends? No… but I love them! We also reconnected with Rob & Teresa about a month and a half ago, and that was really nice. We’ve been seeing a ton of Rob lately, and Teresa once in awhile too. Again, not really new friends, but friends that we sort of lost over about 6 months. And finally, Ben & Rusty, who definitely count as new friends, and who are absolutely amazing. I know at first I wasn’t a huge Rusty fan, but now that we’ve gotten to know each other a lot better, I actually really like her. They’re a truly nerdy couple… which is perfect for us. We’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time with them over the past two months, and I’m totally not sick of them at all. Pretty cool.

Work is going well. As my boss says, I’m “kicking butt and taking names.” I finally have a couple proof of concepts underway for my one project. And, although they are causing problems, at least we’re making some sort of progress. On the other major project, we’ve made some ridiculous progress and have cleaned up what no one before us could. I wish I could give you specifics… but, just know I’m kicking butt. That’s enough. 🙂

Tomorrow I’m taking a trip back to school to recruit at a career fair. That’s always a good time… good to be back on campus, and fun to get students excited about my job.

Alright, I’m done with this… for now.
