public transportationed out

I went to the Mets game today; they lost. I can’t say I cared all that much. However, combined with the fact that my two other teams lost, it was just kind of a bad day in the world of baseball. I’m glad I got to see Shea Stadium; I haven’t been in many MLB stadiums in my life and the fans were incredible. After the game we got some great pizza near Grand Central Station, then walked down 5th Avenue a bit. I wish I’d had more time – I might have actually shopped a little. Maybe even a lot since I have a newfound interest in shopping and a reason to shop (work wardrobe is a completely valid reason).

Really weird 4400 on right now. Of course it’s probably a little less strange were I actually pay full attention to it.

Chris just told me he wasn’t sure he liked Mountain Dew anymore… and was preferring Coke products these days. This may seem extraordinarily trivial but I tell you the sky is falling! What on earth is going on??? Chris? Not like Mountain Dew? Very strange indeed.

I do not want to figure out what to wear tomorrow. I do not want to iron whatever it is either. I do not want to work tomorrow, nor the day after, nor the day after, etc. I want my summer back. But you know what’s funny? I’m doing a heck of a lot more in my free time than I would be if I weren’t working so much. I’m going out at night, I’m going into NYC on weekends, seeing baseball games, hanging out with people around the hotel… when I don’t work I feel no desire to get up off my butt and go do anything. So in a way, perhaps I’m glad I’m working? Maybe I’m actually having more fun by working? Who would have thought…
