Well I guess the exciting news would be the fact that this is my first entry on my new laptop computer. Daddy brought it home last night! My own new Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop… wow. And it’s black… completely black and Matrix-ish/You’ve Got Mail-ish. I know I’m pathetic, but it really does make me quite happy. Not to mention I think I really like this keyboard. I feel like I can flow on it.

He brought another cool thing home last night. It’s, I guess you might say, for all of the computers in this house. It will allow us to stay connected to the DSL line at all times, hopefully resolving our little internet troubles. It allows multiple users to use the line, tool It also allows us all to be plugged into the printer, which means we don’t have to disconnect our family computer every time we want to print on our laptops. Beautiful.

Did I mention I love my schedule for first semester? I have full days on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, but practically nothing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, thus allowing me to prepare for my classes every other day. I’m totally thrilled about it, not to mention the awesome classes I’m taking. English, German, American studies, calculus I, world music, a cultural diversity experiences class, and a faculty mentoring program. Hello? Can we say awesome?? Math is the only logical, I guess you might say, class. I’m definitely taking a break from science, which is good, but I had to take either math or science. Wasn’t really an option. Humanities. A schedule chock-full of humanities. Even one of the honors advisors looked at my finished schedule, after helping to construct half of it, I might add, and said, “Wow, this is a great schedule – especially for an undecided major!” Yeah, it’s pretty cool… pretty diverse… lovin’ it.
