in a half asleep stupor…

My brain seems to be refusing the blast of cold caffeine that comes every few minutes from my tall glass of icy Dr. Pepper. The upper left hand corner of my head feels warm, somewhat fuzzy, and somewhat painful. Please work, caffeine, please. I just took a two hour nap… two hours! And trust me, I was out completely. Totally gone. Bye-bye. You see, yesterday for my last day of school I went to Cedar Point instead for physics day. I spent the entire day there, leaving the school at 7:30am and getting home at around 8:30pm. I was totally exhausted, but that didn’t keep me from staying up to watch K-PAX on PPV with my dad. That lasted until around midnight, so I went to bed with the knowledge that I’d sleep as long as I wanted in the morning.

But the phone rang at 10:30am. I refused to answer anyone calling at the obscene hour of 10:30, and tried to go back to sleep. So my cat jump onto the foot of my bed and started meowing fiercely. She proceeded to rub on my legs, purring quite audibly, and then lying down partially on my right leg. I was pretty much pinned to the bed, if I had any aspirations of letting her be peaceful and comfortable. Which I didn’t. I decided there was no hope, got up, and ate half a muffin.

My dad and I ended up going to Panera for lunch, where I saw Sean B. and Laura S. We ate, then went over to Border’s. I picked up two birthday cards, a mother’s day card, and a border’s gift card, and my dad bought a CD. Went home, crashed some more, read some Reviving Ophelia. Fell asleep at around 4:15pm, telling my dad to wake me up around 7 if I was still asleep.

The phone rang (seems to be a trend) at 6:15. I answered it in a full sleep-induced stupor, and it was my mother calling from Williamsburg. She told me that her orchestra got a superior, first place, and grand champion. I’m totally proud of her! That’s quite an accomplishment. She then asked if Dad was around, after noting I sounded like I just woke up. I responded that I had no clue if Dad was around or not… I was asleep. Eventually we got off the phone, and I found a note from Dad saying he was trying out drivers. A few minutes later he came home, new TaylorMade driver in hand… such a kid. –smiles-

So here I am, drinking Dr. Pepper, hoping that I’m awake and somewhat fun by the time I get to Kelly’s for the party tonight. I can’t wait. It should be so much fun, especially because HIGH SCHOOL IS OVER and I haven’t really seen anyone in a couple of days.

Cedar Point minorly sucked yesterday. Granted, anything was better than school, but it definitely could have been more entertaining. It was absolutely freezing! Didn’t get warmer than 60, I’m sure. I was fully clothed the entire time. Thank God for my hoody! Millennium Force and the Raptor were both closed because of the 35 mph winds. AHH! Raptor is my favorite! I usually ride it multiple times during any given visit. Millennium Force is the next best… grr. We rode something like 3 roller coasters… no joke. Magnum first, the Mean Streak, and then the indoor sucky one. I always say it’s going to be bad, I always forget how serious I am, my group always ends up riding it anyway, waiting in a 40 minute line that no one knows about (because it’s inside) to ride a 55 second piece of crap. But being there was still cool. It was me, Brian, Joe, and Jessie. Kind of funny, spending my last day of high school with Joe and Jessie, no? But it was cool. Jessie and I got to talk for at least an hour while Brian, Joe, and Mr. Ramsey rode the Wicked Twister. There was no way in hell my stomach would’ve been able to handle that thing.
