things happened in Nashville

Things I don’t really feel I can talk about quite yet, but that I wanted to say nevertheless. I suppose this entry is in effort to keep my diary alive, as much as to remind myself to tell you what happened.

I was in Nashville for 5 days… and I’m leaving for Chicago in 8 more. Basically, I don’t live here anymore. I just come for the food, as Scott would say.

So, more news on the “what the hell everyone’s breaking up” front. I derived that from the fact that… well, everyone’s breaking up. Nolan and I first, then my sister and her now ex, Laura and Steve, Steve and Jessie fell through… and I’m sure there are more but I’ve forgotten. Well, the latest one is Alex and Vanessa. That definitely became kaputt yesterday evening. She was pretty upset, but he’s obviously taking it quite well… because he broke up with her… on a Tuesday. Are we seeing how this parallels my break up? Yes. Good.

So the airline destroyed my suitcase and pair of shoes, was 2 1/2 hours late, and pretty much the entire start of the trip was a disaster. But I will say it got progressively better. I ended up coming home with a new suitcase, a new pair of shoes, a new cowboy hat, straightened hair, and an accent. Lovely, lovely. EHH but I don’t want to be here. This means school, this means stress, this means… ehh blah-ish-ness. HOWEVER, we are leaving soon… and winter formal is this weekend… so I will survive somehow.
