itis, senior

So I almost got a date to winter formal. In fact, from 8:15am to 4:15 pm, I did have a date. Kind of complicated, but to spare you all what would end up being an entirely confusing situation, Brian asked me during physics, not knowing the entire “the physics group is going to the dance together” clause. By the time I found out he had a problem with this, it was the end of the day. We waited until after pit orchestra rehearsal to discuss, and it turns out that we’ve both promised different groups to go with them, and we’re both too stubborn to break our plans. Where does this put us? Back in I-need-a-date-land. 🙂 But it’s all good… at least I’ve been asked once, right?

This is what needs to happen: We need to find some great honors kid to ask Meera to the dance, then we need to elect Steve for Snow King and get him to ask Meg, and then Dani needs to convince Scott to ask me to Winter Formal. Our dear Smiley decided to go screw everything up and ask Jill! But that’s ok, he didn’t know we had plans involving him, :P.

It’s official… I’m an adult. It’s crazy. I have nothing to say…

Senior-itis has definitely taken control of the senior honors program at MHS. It’s ridiculous, but no one seems to care. The most dedicated and perhaps hardest-working students in the school just don’t care anymore. We’re faul. I’m sick of playing the games… sick of reading Ramsey’s mind and trying to figure out what in the world is due when and whether it’s supposed to be a formal lab report or not. I’m sick of doing calculus homework altogether. I’m not saying I mind the class, because I enjoy it quite a bit. I’m just not in the mood to do any more of it. German I can handle. Or at least, I think I would be able to handle it if it weren’t for those God-awful-prompts for the home compositions. I really do want to learn, it’s just a matter of taking time to do it. English is beautiful, as always, though I must say I’m not thrilled about reading this “Sound and Sense” thing. It’s funny, Ms. G specifically made a point to tell us to read the poetry, not just the prose. Well, I’m more inclined to just read the poetry and not the prose. The prose is just so terrible. Blah.

Did I mention how proud I am of myself for doing my book-talk as early as I did? YEAH non-procrastination. What? Me? King Pellinore? HAIL! Right, so anyway… that brings us up to date on the “Lord we need to all go to college right now” situation. Isn’t it great how during German I interjected, “But Chris… 4 years from now we really will still be talking and telling stories,” seeing as how the 3 of us are going to the same college.

Tschuss!

Excusez-moi? You’re supposed to be electing me for Snow King. Smiley
