I feel an entry coming on…

Oh there’s NOOOOOO place like HOOOOME for the holidays…

Not that I left home in the first place or anything. This, however, is not the point. I am in the holiday spirit. (Though any SNOW would certainly be welcome and greatly helpful in continuing this sudden rush of Christmas-y-ness…)

Let me tell you about the perfectness of last year’s caroling party. Imagine a completely deserted street… almost covered in snow that’s been crunched down by a few cars. The sky is light with snow clouds, and it’s absolutely bone-chilling freezing. And it’s gorgeous. The lights are magical, the silence is magical… and we trudge along frigidly. We walk through the snow… we kick snow… we sing as we walk. We ring on the doorbells and belt out some hideous-sounding carols. So much fun.

We returned home and all crammed into my basement. It was so crowded, but for some reason I don’t think anyone really minded. Such good friends… joking… laughing… eating cookies… drinking hot chocolate… bonding. I loved it. I loved not caring what anyone thought, because we all loved each other.

This year tons of people are invited. And there are some that I didn’t invite this year because, well, because half of us can’t stand them, so why should I endure those people at my own party? I suppose that sounds terrible. Actually, I know that sounds terrible… but life is too short. And space will definitely be an issue. Where in the world am I going to put everyone? Ahh who cares…

… as long as it snows…

In other news… there are so many other parties coming up. Christmas shopping?? What? Yeah I need to do some more of that tomorrow. I need to wrap the presents as well. Sure do. If I intend to give out Christmas cards, I’d better get a move on that too. I’m such a procrastinator! (Actually I just forgot about such things until this week.)
