entry from awhile back

Life is clicking into place once more. I got accepted to my first choice college! I applied early decision, and honestly wasn’t expecting a response until December. But yesterday I definitely received a letter of acceptance. I couldn’t be more thrilled! It’s only November and I know exactly where I’m going next year. No more stress, no more applications… I only sent in one… I only wrote one essay… life is good.

Tonight was the band banquet. This means food and good awards and just silly awards and gifts and whatnot. Well… in terms of good awards, I got my 3rd year letter. I was one out of 3 seniors to receive it in the fall. Most people don’t receive that until spring of this year, so that was pretty cool. In terms of silly awards, Nolan and I won cutest couple. I also won best female senior marcher. As our senior gift from Mr. V, he gave all of the senior saxophones cowboys and indians instead of army men. For obvious reasons… 😉 Of course we used them to attack him at the end… quite humorous!

Meg and Erin definitely stayed up until 4am last night. Or was it this morning? We sure did. But it was good. We just talked and talked… about people mostly. Odd, isn’t it? Not at all about what I originally had wanted to talk about before Friday night. I’m really glad I didn’t have to have that talk though. Really glad.

I’m becoming ok with dogs. DOGS? Yeah, the shame of it all. I still appreciate and love cats much much more, but I’m beginning to accept dogs. I’m so prejudiced against them… But this is my list of dogs that I can get along with: Nolan’s, Meg’s, Dani’s, Aimee’s. Ehh… whatever. Slobber… yuck.

Cats are definitely superior.
