*dunks a graham cracker in some milk*
Hey… long time no write. Well, ok so yes I’ve written a million times lately, but it’s all been on one subject, and to be perfectly honest it’s boring. Or at least boring to anyone who’s not a girl, doesn’t know me, or just doesn’t care. (boring to any reader really) Not to mention it makes me feel very shallow and as if there is nothing in my life besides that one thing. (And we all know that’s not the case because that one thing isn’t even in my life most of that time.)
At any rate, we have graham crackers in my house. That really made me happy to see. I’m not even sure how they got there, but I went upstairs in search for a snack, and returned with graham crackers and milk. That’s a novelty, I’d say. One of those things that you found everywhere when you were little, but when you reach 17 aren’t all that common. Unfortunately, they’re not the super mega cinnamon-y ones… just plain. But that’s ok.
I have BAND CAMP pictures back finally! *finally* being the key word. It’s been 9 months, I do believe, since band camp. Ahh well. It makes it even more enjoyable to see them. We all look so school-spirited and band nerdy and all that. *yeah pigtails* So I suppose that’s been a major highlight. We got our yearbooks last week too, so it’s been nice getting to sign the designated saxy sax page and all that. OOOH Meg you need to sign mine, dear. Wow… yeah you do.
It’s been raining on and off all day. Methinks it’s in the 50’s. Now WHY in the world does nature think it needs to be that cold near the end of May? HI, um, I want some warm weather thank you VERY much.
OOOh… *gets momentarily excited* piano… some majorly cool new pieces to work on! The first thing is not really a hard piece, and it’s really not even for my lesson. For my AP US History class, everyone has to perform something musical, be it singing or instrumental, but it must be by an American composer. So I’m choosing to play “Solace” by Scott Joplin. It’s in The Sting if you’re not sure what it is. So that’s coming along nicely. In addition to THAT, my piano teacher assigned me the following: Gershwin’s Prelude II, and Debussy’s Danse. Awesome awesome pieces, but also quite difficult. Ahh well… it’s almost summer, and I shall practice my heart out! *grins* I even came home and practiced today… wow. I think that when I’m excited about the pieces she assigns me, I practice them. Whereas when I’m indifferent or not thrilled, I tend to not practice at all. Which makes me less thrilled with them, because then I can’t play them on top of the fact I don’t like them. We should stay away from that.
*right hand freezes* Is it just me, or does your mouse hand always get extraordinarily cold? Why is that? And my nose too… *shivers*
Did I mention that this week in history is dance week? Monday we learned the Stroll and the Charleston (and Meg and I TOTALLY ruled the class)… so much fun. Today was the Minuet and the Electric Slide. I am happy to say that Meg and I dominated the electric slide as well, but I’d rather talk about the Minuet. Well, we needed to partner up, and they wanted it so there were as few same sex partners as possible. So, I was like… Ok Scott, you’re with me. Hehe… yeah go me. Tomorrow we learn the Virginia Reel and the Polka. I can polka… or at least I know the basic steps. SO that’s good. Methinks Meg is actually TEACHING the Virginia Reel, so that’ll be nice. Hah, we can dominate the class again! Yeah dawg. Oh, and Aims, did you hear us doing the bunny hop or whatever today too? (Her history class is right next to where we’re dancing, so yesterday she heard the chicken dance and today she heard the electric slide, lol…)
I’m so a dancing fool. And you all thought I couldn’t dance… (well I still can’t unless you give me specific steps to follow) *grins*
I’m off to be
