cyber worlds, cyber voids, cyber dreams
So we just finished watching a not-so-great movie on TV. HOWEVER, it had great potential. Just a few things that should have been different… like acting, and a few lines, and some overall things. It was about a few men who created a cyber simulation and could download themselves into the non-real world to experience it. Turned out that the people who created that simulation were part of a simulation as well. (Rather complex, but hugely wonderful in that respect) If it had been done as well as The Matrix was, they’d have one excellent movie. Very similar in concepts, I’d say, yet different enough to be intriguing. (The Matrix is such a good movie… definately on my favorites list. Why do my mother and sister detest it so? And for those of you who still refuse to understand, I only have one sister – her name is Carrie. I said Kim was my sister in reference to our saxy saxnessship!)
First of all, I get so addicted to the internet. I think I spent way way way too much time in this one chat room today. It’s the only chat room I’ve ever been in, but I go there pretty frequently. (or at least used to) Second of all, SimCity – addicting game, that. I only have the City game and Urban Renewal Kit, but I do know there are actually other Sim games where you create families and houses and whatnot. I’m really very interested in getting that game, except I’m afraid I’d be way too addicted. Then I saw this movie, and HI – yeah kind of similar, ehh?
Next issue of cyberness at hand. Love. Yes, you can be in cyber-love. I’m quite convinced of it. Or at least you can develop cyber-crushes. *I’m so guilty of that it’s not even funny* My friends keep trying to convince me to limit my crushes to the country, the state, or even real life… I have problems with this. I like people better online. I really hate people – maybe this is the cause? But when you’re online, that little ignore button is always there for when they don’t understand that you’re ignoring them, as opposed to real life. Jillian needs an ignore button. Or a warn button. I’d just keep pressing it all day. It really would be much more convenient.
Goodness this is a nerdy entry. It wasn’t intended to be that way at first, but I just realized how gamer-ish this all sounds. BAH. Well that’s just no good.
I’m pathetic. Perhaps I’ve not told many of you this, but I always have wished that I really WOULD find my Mr. Darcy or my Gilbert Blythe online. I really DO wish my life could somehow end up like You’ve Got Mail. As pathetic as that sounds. Too dreamer-ish, I know. But I’m a romantic. And I’m a dreamer. And I suppose that were I to fall in love with someone in the real world in the first place without ever so much as touching a computer, I would be just as happy. I think my obsession with falling in love online simply stems from the fact that I’m more likely to meet someone here than in my school, in my city, in my state. Who knows.
Well there you have it. An innermost secret of dreamergrrl.
While I’m working on confessions, I should confess something else. I really need to not hold back considering this is my diary, but I hate saying it all the same. I think it would be incredibly fun to date Scott. Utterly enjoyable. But I know that Aimee likes him… and therefore nothing will happen. I love you Aims!
Back to the cyber world… talking to a cyber void… in my cyber life…
More than ever, I’m completely

Um, yeah, the person who left the first note on this entry is a retard. In order to leave that note, they’d had to have been online. Um, newsbreak? WHAT? Yeah… So anyway, I love the internet too. And the thing is, I don’t understand why it’s considered “nerdy” or whatever, to enjoy it. I mean, it beats talking to losers like the first note leaver in real life. People in real life s
