*sigh* We got a 2

It’s rather depressing, but I suppose it’s what we deserved. Mom and Dad bought the tape of our performance, and I must admit some of our forms weren’t quite… up to state contest standards. Or, at least, they weren’t quite the forms they should be. I think it’s all the fault of the hashes. We had to march with college hashes, and only small white lines as OUR hashes. Basically, it confused the heck out of everyone. Ahh well.

Afterwards a bunch of us went over to Aims’ for pizza and to watch a movie. We ended up watching our performances instead, lol. Aww, it’s so sad that marching band season is finally over. I’m going to miss the Gray Band people so much! *sigh* Who’s YO’ Daddy? Coach V, Coach V! No, but anyhow, I wish we could all stay together all year. I’m never going to see Becky, Kim, Lauren, or Matt now! I have NO classes or study halls with any of them. The rest I’ll either have lunch with, or, like Emma is in Gray Band, but I have 4th mod study hall with her too, so that’s not too bad.

Blah… life is kind of pointless now. Sad, isn’t it? I found myself leaving an empty band locker tonight. No chartbooks. No coordinate books. No MB music, no poncho, no shoes… nothing. It’s all cleared out, and I can’t handle it. The year goes by so slowly until marching band season starts again. It’s the highlight of my year, and it’s so short. Less than a third of the year is devoted towards marching – I wish I could just skip concert band sometimes. *nostalgia* I’m going to miss my uniform. How pathetic is that? I’m going to miss marching. I’m going to miss Friday nights. Oh, it makes me want to cry.

Remember the 2000 season of the FCMB. I’m not just saying that to quote the movie, either. I mean it. The first season of V. The first season that we earned the right to go to states. The first season of future champions… it makes me feel really very proud to have been a part of that band.
