I GOT AROUND THE SYSTEM! hehe…

Oh, it’s a lovely bliss when you get around a school’s *oh so perfect* system. Riiight… Our school principal, who, unlike the unit principals, is in charge of the ENTIRE school, was in our homeroom this morning. (That’s a whole story in itself.) I decided to ask him the ruling on the pins. He said that he didn’t really mind them at all, but if we wanted to go by the rules we should probably take them off. Aka, he’s not going to do anything about it, but other teachers/officials may and have the authority to.

So this morning I had a revelation. Here I was walking around with an extra lanyard in my bookbag, which just happened to be *orange*, and I didn’t even THINK about it. I took all of my pins off of my red ID lanyard, and transferred them all to my orange lanyard. I then proceeded to take out any and all extra pins I had and simply COVERED the orange lanyard with “I am Loved” pins. Now I wear two lanyards, but it looks like they’re all just on the one. Basically, they can’t stop me from wearing pins on a non-school lanyard (even though it’s still break-away) which has pins on it as long as my ID tag is still on the *plain* red one!

We weren’t sure if it was going to work, but hey, it was worth a shot, right? SO at lunch I get up to throw away my trash, and a police officer motions to me. He’s like, “get over here”. Yes sir. He was about to yell at me, and looked a little closer, and thought better of it. Instead he was like, “Oh, they’re not even on there! You’re fine…” HAHA! MY ENTIRE LUNCH TABLE WAS FREAKING OUT! It’s just SOOOOOO great! I got around there stupid little petty system! Now everyone else thinks I’m totally insane for being so darned excited about it, but my gosh it feels so good to LOOK like you’re rebelling TOTALLY, and yet be abiding the rules to the very last period. Hehehe. Screw you, ****** High!

Now I have all my pin friends buying extra lanyards. It’s so awesome… maybe I didn’t start the craze, but I’m helping to keep it alive baby! ICH BIN GELIEBT!

So anyway, back to the reason the principal was in my homeroom. They’ve decided to print off little stickers which say what mods we’re allowed to be in the student center… they stuck little stickers on the back of our ID’s that say our free mods so we can’t skip classes. Sure. Great. Problem: They forgot to put my LUNCH MOD on there. Thanks. All of the band people apparently aren’t allowed to be in there for lunch! Haha, it’s sooo ridiculous. I mean, after marching band season our free mods are just gonna change anyway, but still… watch they’ll give the entire band detentions for eating lunch. Hehe… I swear they’re all out to get us! 😀

Ahh well, life goes on.

Ohhhhh… so Eric comes up to me during rehearsal after school today. He picks up one of the majorettes’ batons, and HITS me on the back of my knee. YEAH. GRR. I don’t even wanna go there. I swear I’m going to snap.

Hehe, you’re crazy 🙂 But yeah, it’s cool when you accomplish something like that…like finding a loophole around a system. I have a question….what’s a lanyard? I’m too lazy to look it up 🙂
