~what I’ve learned~

It’s really quite ironic, when you get down to it, how much you can learn from being stupid. There’s one person in particular who made me learn things about myself this summer… a fellow diarist in fact. Well, former diarist, anyway.

What *Jake* has taught me:

~I trust too many first impressions. I trust too many 15th impressions as well. I don’t seem to trust enough 30th impressions.

~I have a habit of obsessing over people. (I have learned to fix this problem.)

~I’m too willing to open my entire being to others before knowing exactly why I’m doing it, or who the person is.

~I fill in the gaps of people with my imagination rather investigate those gaps and fill them with truths.

~I take petty things too seriously, and always take things beyond what they were meant.

~I don’t truly know what I want, or why I want it.

~I never want things to change, but the changes always come.

~I’m too fond of memories from the wee hours of the morning online and not fond enough of the beautiful daylight hours of real life.

Ahh well… life goes on.
