the game

Well, we had fun last night. Mind you, it was raining and we lost, but it was still fun. Me and my two friends and I were in this little row of 3, and my parents were in this little row of 2 in front of us. It was so cute!

Well, at the top of the 5th inning we ventured out to find the kid from camp. (It took a lot of doing to convince my parents to let us go in search of him for 20 minutes.) So we stood at the gate that we had decided on for awhile, but he wasn’t around. I could have killed him – I thought he was blowing me off. So I started to walk a little ways down, and suddenly there he is walking towards me. *pauses while fave song is playing* Ok, sorry. So anyway, I just sort of run to him (like an idiot) and hug him. (this is when I realize that I am wearing my puffy coat – not a good choice for good hugs, arrrrrrrgh)

So anyway, he meets my two friends, and we sort of stand around talking for awhile. It was very surreal. So then I had to go cause my parents gave me a fricking curfew! So we hugged goodbye. And I probably won’t seem him until July. *sigh*

But do you know what’s really odd? His head was bigger. I know that sounds really dumb, but I haven’t seen the kid in six months, when I saw him at a football game for all of 5 minutes. Before that was the week I met him at camp last July. But last night his head seemed bigger. I don’t know if a hair cut did it or whether he got fatter or more muscular in his neck or whether I just didn’t remember how big it was… I’m not trying to be mean or anything. He’s doesn’t look any worse or anything, it just struck me as odd. I’m sure I look really different to him too, but whatever. (cause I was a little bit thinner at camp – gee i wonder why on that camp food – and I was more active then, but you know)

So that was my surreal experience with the kid from camp. Wow, it was just strange. It wasn’t quite the same because he has a girlfriend and because my two friends were there. But I won’t stop loving him just because of one stupid baseball game. He’s still a great friend.
